Hook Skate Park

Hook Parish Council has invested around £250,000 to give the skate park a serious upgrade.

The old metal ramps are out, and in their place is a new, top-tier concrete setup built for skaters of all levels.

The park now features everything you could ask for: quarter pipes, grind ledges, flat bars, a manual pad, flat banks, and even an open bowl section. There’s also a jump box, spine, rollover, mini quarter pipe, stair set, downrail, and hubbas, all with smooth transitions that flow perfectly.

It’s bigger, better, and built for anyone ready to progress their skills or just have a good session.

Chairman of the Hook parish council, Rob Cowell, said:

“We are so pleased to have been able to build this facility for our residents and open it just in time for the summer holidays. The old skate park held a special place in our hearts, and with the new park's improved design and features, we hope to extend this opportunity to more residents. It truly is a park for all abilities."

Opening Event: Saturday, June 3rd, 11am - 2pm

The skate park is a solid concrete setup built for all skill levels. It’s perfect for skateboards, BMX, scooters, inline skates and roller skates. The new park includes:

• Quarter Pipes

• Grinding Ledge

• Flat Bars

• Manual Pad

• Flat Bank

• Open Bowl Section

• Jump Box

• Spine

• Rollover

• Mini Quarter Pipe

• Downrail

• Stairset

• Hubba

• Blended Transitions

The park has got four motion sensor floodlights that turn on from dusk, if someone is using the park, and turn off at 9 PM. To keep things safe, three of the lights turn off at 8:55 PM as a heads-up to wrap up your session, so you’re not left in the dark mid-trick!
