3,150 Reported With Adverse Reactions To Pfizer’s Covid-19 Vaccine
Thousands of people have been unable to work or perform daily activities, or required care from a health care professional, after getting the new covid-19 vaccine, according to data from the Advisory Committee on Immunisation Practices (ACIP) which advises the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
As of Dec. 18th 2020, 3,150 people had reported what the agency terms “health impact events” after getting vaccinated. Those who are experiencing these ‘events’ are ‘unable to perform normal daily activities, unable to work, or required care from a doctor or health care professional.’

AstraZeneca’s vaccine, known as AZD1222, relies on a chimpanzee adenovirus that has been modified to carry coronavirus genes and deliver them into human cells. Although the adenovirus is generally thought to be harmless, the coronavirus components of the vaccine are intended to incite a protective immune response that would be roused again should the actual coronavirus try to infect a vaccinated individual.

Enhanced immune response, also known as pathenogenic priming, is when a vaccine produces a good antibody response in a subject but when they are later exposed to the wild virus they have an increased risk of death than those who have not been vaccinated.
