OUR MISSION

Our mission is to create a sense of community and raise awareness about the importance of mental health and well-being. We aim to provide a safe and welcoming space for young adults to come together, connect with others and find support.

We believe that everyone deserves to have someone to lend an ear and a hand, and we are committed to being that support for our members. We understand that life can be tough at times and that everyone goes through difficult periods. That's why we are here to offer a shoulder to lean on and a helping hand when needed.

In addition to providing support and connection, we also strive to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and to prevent suicide. We believe that by fostering a sense of community and providing resources and support, we can help reduce the stigma around mental health and encourage people to seek help when they need it.

We hope that our weekly social and support group can be a place where young adults can find connection, support and hope. We look forward to building community and making a positive impact together.

CODE OF CONDUCT

We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all members.

To help ensure that our group is a place where everyone feels comfortable and respected, we have established the following code of conduct:

  1. Respect the rights and feelings of others. We expect all members to treat each other with kindness, compassion, and respect. This includes using appropriate language, listening actively and being mindful of personal boundaries.

  2. Keep confidences. Our group is a safe and confidential space. We expect all members to respect the privacy of others and to not share personal information without permission.

  3. Be inclusive and welcoming. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels included and welcome, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, ability or background.

  4. Abide by the alcohol and drug-free policy. We are an alcohol and drug-free zone. We expect all members to refrain from using or possessing drugs or alcohol while attending our group.

  5. Report any concerns. If you have any concerns about the safety or well-being of yourself or others, we encourage you to speak up and report them to a staff member or facilitator.

By adhering to this code of conduct, we can create a positive and supportive environment for all members. Thank you for your cooperation in helping to create this safe and welcoming space.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please know that you are not alone and that help is available.
In addition to the support we can offer at our group, there are also a number of mental health helplines and resources available 24/7.
We encourage you to reach out  for help if you need it. Remember, it's okay to not be okay and it's important to seek help when you need it.

SUPPORT

We understand that sometimes people may need more than just social and emotional support. If you are in need of professional, confidential mental health support, we are here to help.

We have trained facilitators and staff on hand who are available to listen, offer support and provide resources as needed. Working with both local and national organisations we are able to provide links to mental health support by direct referral or through signposting.

We take confidentiality very seriously and will only share information with others if we have your explicit permission or we are required to do so by law. If you need to speak to someone in private, we have dedicated spaces and times available for confidential conversations.

alcohol & DRUG FREE ZONE

At our weekly social and support group, we are committed to creating a safe and sober space for our members. To that end, we have a strict policy of being an alcohol and drug-free zone.

We understand that substance abuse can be a major issue for many young adults, and we believe that providing a sober space can be an important step in promoting healthy behaviors and lifestyles. Our goal is to create a supportive and positive environment where our members can come and relax, socialise and find support without the influence of drugs or alcohol.

We ask that all members respect this policy and refrain from using or possessing drugs or alcohol while attending our group.

We believe that by creating a sober space, we can provide a safer and more supportive environment for our members to thrive and grow. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us to maintain this policy.

We acknowledge that drug use is a reality for many young adults and that it can be a complex and sensitive issue. While we do not condone drug use, we also understand that it is a reality for some of our members.

While we do not wish to punish or shame those who may be struggling with substance abuse, we believe that providing a sober space during our group is important for the safety and well-being of all members.

If you are struggling with substance abuse or addiction and would like to seek support, we encourage you to reach out to our team or to one of the many resources available to help those in need.

We believe that by acknowledging the complexity of drug use and providing support and resources to those who may be struggling, we can help to create a more positive and healthy environment for all of our members.

For when you are ready we are here for you,
for when you are not we are here.
